Felichaun
Cattery
ABOUT OUR NAME AND CATTERY:
Felichaun (pronounced “Felicon” ) is derived from the Irish nymph,
Leprichaun. We feel that the very essence of the Oriental cat closely
mimics the antics of this funny creature, both in liveliness and
personality.
Felichaun Castle is located in the rolling hills of Berks County,
Pennsylvania, where our cats can enjoy the many species of wildlife from
their own special “playpen” outside, or, simply bask in the sun, enjoying
the sounds of nature. Young kittens have the comfort and security of their
own nursery, equipped with a human size bed for those special nights of
cuddling, and…….plenty of toys!!!!!
Felichaun is an "Outstanding Cattery", and is both
CFA
and
TICA
registered. We show in both organizations. We are members of the CFA
Breed Council, the TICA Breed Committee and are active members of Oriental
Shorthairs of America.
We strive to produce top-show quality cats, exceptional examples of the
Oriental breed. We do, however, occasionally have kittens available for
pets as well as retired breeders and show cats. It is sometimes not
possible to assess the quality of a particular kitten or litter until they
are 16 weeks of age, therefore, pet seekers are encouraged to get on our
waiting list early to reserve a kitten. We do evaluate every home, whether
breeder or pet owner, carefully and thoroughly, so that we are assured our
kittens and cats are placed in loving, caring environments.
"The cat is a dilettante in fur." --Theophile Gauthier.
